Universal Nutrition Supplements Review
Universal Nutrition supplements have been in the bodybuilding supplement game for many years. They have become a very trusted company when it comes to high quality supplements.
Animal Pak
Animal Pak was probably the breakout product for Universal supplements. This product has been a big seller since the mid 1980s. Animal Pak contains high amounts of amino acids, vitamins and minerals, EFAs, and some carbs. There are tons of other ingredients included in this Universal pak. There are over 50 ingredients in the pak.
There are quite a few pills that you have to take in each pak, but considering what you are getting in the packs I don’t consider that a problem. Another drawback is the smell. The stuff don’t smell good. Again, that shouldn’t be a problem either. It’s not about how it smells, it’s how much it will help you. Animal Pak gives covers all your nutritional bases for you. The last thing you want is for a nutritional deficiency to hinder you gains. Animal Pak prevents this. This is the ultimate “vitamin” for hard training athletes.
M Stak
M Stak is universal nutrition’s version of a prohormone free anabolic agent. It has a natural flavone complex. This complex contains Beta-Ecdysterone and 5-Methyl-7-Methoxyisoflavone. Honestly, I don’t like these ingredients. I don’t think they bring much to the table.
I do like the amino complex that it has. This complex contains 3 kinds of L-Leucine which is becoming more and more popular for its anabolic properties. The blend also contains the other 2 BCAAs as well as some Taurine and some Acetyl L Carnitine.
The adaptogen complex is also a plus since I am a big fan of Rhodiola. It’s in there with a few other ingredients. M Stak also has ingredients to help with insulin sensitivity as well as an energy blend.
Overall M Stak is a nice formula. I think it could be better with ingredients other than the flavone complex. I say that not having tried it myself. Maybe I should try M Stak and see for myself. If you want a natural, prohormone free product, try this one, otherwise Animal Stak or Animal Test would be a better choice.
Animal Max
Animal Max is a protein powder that has added glutamine, creatine, and taurine. Universal supplements says that Animal Max is anti catabolic and it can promote protein synthesis. They say it’s because of the blend of whey isolates and hydrolysates, casein, and egg proteins.
I don’t know a lot of people that have used Animal Max. It’s not the most popular products. Universal nutrition is known more for their paks than their powders. Considering the quality of the rest of Universal’s products you would have to assume it would be a good product. I’ll have to wait to give an opinion on this particular product.
Animal Cuts
Animal Cuts is basically an all in one fat burner pak. This product will do what all the other fat burners will do:
You get increased energy
Increased focus
A diuretic effect (water loss)
Appetite suppression
Increased metabolism
Increased thyroid function
Spares muscle tissue
Inhibits cortisol
The major benefit you will get from Animal Cuts is all that is mentioned above, in one product. You don’t have to take three or four formulas to get the total fat loss package. It contains over 30 ingredients to cover all your bases when it comes to fat loss. You just pop your pak and you are good to go.
I have taken if before and I do like the product. Animal Cuts is just like any other fat burner on the market though. You will several people that like it, and a few people that don’t think it works at all. I do think it is a top 5 fat burning supplement due to its ingredients and its quality.
Nitro Pak
Animal Nitro Pak is an amino acid complex from Universal Nutrition. It’s a basic amino formula with extra BCAAs included. Universal says that Nitro Pak is different due to its Human Muscle Protein Complex (HMPC). HMPC is a group of “uncoupled” aminos. These are aminos that have no chemical bonds that can limit maximum utilization. It sounds complicated but the idea is that he amino acid formula is more efficient. This formula is supposed to be able to pass through the liver without any damage to them.
Passing through the liver will allow for more nutrients to be delivered to your muscles. You should have improved recovery ability. An you should have improvement in being able to increase your muscle mass.
Animal Pump
This is Universal’s pre workout, nitric oxide product. Its your pre workout in pill form. You have your usual creatine formula. Animal Pump has several different types of creatine in its formulation. Of course you will also have your Arginine based nitric oxide complex as well as a bunch of antioxidants to kill all of those free radicals that will be created.
You also have your energy complex and some other cell volumization agents. Just like all the other Universal Paks, Animal Pump is a very comprehensive formula. It has everything you need to have some great workouts and get some great results.
I have had clients that really like this product. The energy and the pump that they get is second to none…..they say. Animal Pump is great for those that don’t like to take pre workout powders. We all know that some of those powders don’t taste like the best things in the world. So if that gives you trouble, give Animal Pump a try.
That’s all I have time for now. I’ll review the rest of Universal Nutrition’s products at a later date. Universal is a very popular supplement company. They have been around for several years. You have to be a legit, high quality company in order to be in business as long as Universal has. I recommend giving Universal Nutrition supplements a shot when you are thinking about trying some new supplements to add to your regimen.
