Universal Nutrition Torrent is a formula targeted for post-workout nutrition. Universal touts Torrent as a lean mass activator. The post-workout supplement is relatively new segment for supplement companies. It is just a matter of time, however, before all supplement manufacturers have their own post-workout product. Its common sense to have a supplement to take for the most important part of gaining mass or recovering from workouts. Universal Nutrition Torrent is designed to maximize that anabolic opportunity that is available after a workout.

Taking a post-workout supplement would ensure that a person’s body is in a anabolic state, allowing for positive adaptation of training. Torrent is supposed to supply your muscles with nutrients to help repair damaged muscle tissues and replenish glycogen stores in the body. The faster these steps are taken, the faster your body is in an anabolic state.

Torrent is taken immediately after training and contains hydrolyzed whey protein, which consists of small whey peptides that can be quickly digested and absorbed.

Universal Nutrition Torrent also contains a carbohydrate blend that replenishes glycogen stores and stimulates the release of insulin, which is a very anabolic hormone. It basically has a 2 to 1 carb to protein ratio, which is pretty good.

It also has different amino acids such as Arginine and BCAAs. It also contains 4 different types of creatine.

Other than taking regular whey protein, I think post-workout formulas like Torrent are vital to proper recovery and muscle growth. I personally would choose a post-workout formula over a pre-workout formula. It’s just that more important.

I personally have never tried Torrent. I have tried other post-workout formulas and they do make a difference. When given access to Torrent, I will definitely try it for myself, client, and others looking to take that next step in changing their physique.
