VPX Sports Supplements’ NO Shotgun MHF-1 is yet another pre-workout product to hit the market with pretty good success. NO Shotgun was reformulated a while back and is supposed to be even better than its former self. NO Shotgun has your usual suspects when you are talking pre-workout supplements. VPX talks about a cutting edge delivery system with creatine, glutamine, arginine, beta alanine, and BCAAs.

Many of these compounds contain ethyl ester technology. The esters are supposed to enhance the absorption of the ingredients. VPX says that the ingredients should be close to 100% intact when they hit the bloodstream.

NO Shotgun also contains VPX’s popular energy and fat burning supplements, Redline and Meltdown. This should give you all the energy you need for your workouts.

I do like the NO Shotgun formula. I hasn’t done as well as I had expected when it was re-introduced. It has a lot of good ingredients. They seem to keep pushing the envelope and trying to make their products better. That can come with problems however. If a company’s claims are too good, too fantastic, you have to wonder about their quality. We have seen company’s get too fancy with their products, then they caught being less than truthful….BSN anyone?

I did find a recent study published in the journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition. The results of the study were that NO Shotgun, when combined with strength training for about a month, did not have any negative side effects. The study proved that NO Shotgun does increase strength and muscle mass. Pretty cool huh?

The biggest complaint I have had with NO Shotgun is the taste. Several people have told me that it tastes bad. I tried the old formula and it didn’t bother me….didn’t mind it at all.

Most people seem to get good workouts….the usual good pumps, energy. You can include NO Shotgun on your list of good pre-workout supplements. I think it can do the same as all the others. If you are tired of your current pre-workout supplement, take a break from it and give NO Shotgun a try to see if you like it.
