After popularizing pre-workout supplements with the introduction of NO-XPlode, BSN  has realized that increased competition from other supplement companies has forced their hand and caused them to re-formulate a new version of NO-XPlode.

One has to consider if the BSN supplement lawsuit a few years back contributed to this as well. I don’t know if it had a major impact. I would think if it did they would have tried to create a new formula sooner.

This new version is called BSN NO-Xplode NT. It comes in a box that contains 30 packets that you throw in water. The new version contains more ingredients. Overall there is about a gram or so more overall ingredient than the old formula.

NO-Xplode NT contains BCAAs, more types of Arginine, a different creatine or two, and even some milk thistle. If we have counted correctly, there are about 14 or 15 more ingredients in the new formula than in the old. This product retails for quite a bit more than the original NO-Xplode. You can find it online for around $45 or so. So the price won’t be that much different.

I expect in time that NO-XPlode NT will replace the original. Of course that will depend on how well it goes over with fans of the original. I don’t think you will see any dramatic differences between the two. You will also see new and improved BSN NO-Xplode NT, 30 Stick Packs, Fruit Punchversions of other BSN supplements. Their creatine product, Cellmass is being re-formulated as well.

If you like the original NO-Xplode then you will like the NT version. If you hated it, then you will probably feel the same way about the new version.
