BSN CBSN CellMass, 50 Servings, Arctic Berry BlastellMass has been on the market for several years. It has been a popular creatine supplement all of those years….even during and after the BSN lawsuit of a few years back. I’m scratching my head on that one.

CellMass is a post-workout creatine supplement that you just mix in water immediately after training. It’s not the best tasting stuff in the world but you can drink it. BSN’s idea is that you would take NO X-plode before your workout and Cellmass after.

Cell Mass has 3 or 4 types in creatine in their blend. They combine their creatine with various other compounds to increase the effectiveness of the product.

BSN uses a lot of fancy words to explain all the types of creatine included and the compounds they are combined with to increase the above mentioned effectiveness. The bottom line is that all these compounds are supposed to increase the absorption and effectiveness of creatine.

Beta alanine is also included in the formula to buffer lactic acid…..to buffer “the burn” you feel when you have a build up of lactic acid.

You also get Glutamine which is the most abundant amino acid in the body. When you are training Glutamine stores are depleted more than any other amino acid….much more. So Cellmass creatine includes a couple grams of Glutamine to offset that loss. Glutamine is also known to increase protein synthesis and cell volumization.

Cinnamon extract is included in the product. The extract contains antioxidants and we all know what antioxidants can do. Also, cinnamon is known to maintain blood sugar levels. People that have diabetes often try supplementing with cinnamon.

Another reason to be taking any creatine, not just CellMass, is to replenish ATP stores. ATP is energy that your body needs for muscular contractions. As the length of the workout increases, your body’s supply of ATP dwindles. That is where creatine comes in. it can help replenish those ATP stores to help you recover faster and stay stronger, longer.

As you can see, there are many reasons to take creatine.  I am not a huge fan of this particular product, but I do know several people that like taking the product and will continue to do so.

The cost of CellMass is not too bad. There are many places on the net that you can find it at a fairly good price. The rule of thumb with this product as well as any other BSN product is to never pay full price for it. You can always find it on sale somewhere.
