A few years ago a company called Promera Health came out with a product called Con-Cret . It was called a “conjugated creatine”. Initially it wasn’t very popular and it fell off our radar. Fast forward to 2011 and it is now creatine hydrochloride and seems to be gaining in popularity.
Creatine Hydrochloride
Why should you think about using creatine hydrochloride? This creatine is yet another of the seemingly dozens of creatines on the market which promises amazing results with no side effects. This means low dosing, no additives, nothing illegal, no bloating, and no stimulants of any type. This type of creatine has a supposedly high level of solubility. As many of us know when dealing with creatine monohydrate, solubility can be an issue. The lack of solubility is usually the reason for the bloating and cramping that some users have noticed in other types of creatines.
Con-Cret Research
Promera Health provides a summary of a full double blind, placebo-controlled, balanced cross-over plasma uptake study done at the Universities of Nebraska and Manitoba to give us proof of its solubility and “improvement in creatine plasma uptake”.
How much Con-Cret should you take?
The dosing is based on bodyweight. It is about 1/4 tsp per 100 lbs of bodyweight. There is a little scoop in the container to make the dosing easy…..There are also capsules too if you don’t want to deal with a powder.
When should you take Con-Cret?
It should be taken about an hour before your training sessions. I would also take a serving on off days just like I would any other creatine.

I didn’t notice a huge difference with this product, but some of our other clients liked it. One client said that it was the BEST creatine that he had ever taken and has used it extensively.
